Ford Kuga, Focus and Mondeo 2.0 TDCi Chip Tuning: EDC17C10, SID208 and SID211

The 2.0 TDCi is the strong diesel of the Kuga, Focus, Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy. The first generation uses the Bosch EDC17C10; later cars the Continental SID208, and Euro 6 models the SID211 and SID209. Solutions for the 2.0 TDCi are available at ECU Prime on all of these.
Which ECU does your 2.0 TDCi use?
- Bosch EDC17C10: first-generation Kuga, Focus, Mondeo, S-Max. Stage 1, Stage 2, DPF, EGR, lambda, emission package; combined Stage 1 + DPF + EGR.
- Continental SID208: Stage 1, Stage 2, DPF, EGR, swirl (TVA) and emission package.

Engine pages: Kuga 2.0 TDCi Stage 1, Focus 2.0 TDCi Stage 1. For the Transit and Ranger see our Ford Transit and Ranger article, for the 2.0 EcoBlue our EcoBlue article. Models: Kuga, Focus, Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy.
The ECU type depends on model year and engine. The exact type is confirmed from the ECU label or by reading it with a diagnostic tool; send a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we will tell you which file applies.
Common faults
- DPF loading and endless regeneration in city driving
- Sooted EGR valve and cooler, loss of pulling power
- AdBlue / SCR warning and NOx sensor failure
- Boost pressure fault and limp mode

How it works
- Reading: upload the original file read with your tool, or visit one of our locations.
- Calibration: the file is prepared for the exact engine and ECU software version, checksum corrected; the original is archived.
- Application and check: fault scan and run / road test after writing.
Workshops get the same solutions through the ECU Prime file service.
Emission-related software is offered only for uses permitted by applicable law (off-road / closed-site use, racing, export, diagnostics); road use and inspection compliance are the owner’s responsibility.
