Ford Transit and Ranger Chip Tuning: Continental SID208 and Bosch EDC17C70 Solutions

The Ford Transit and Ranger are the workhorses of fleets and tradespeople. Solutions are available at ECU Prime for their two most common engine ECUs.
Continental SID208
Common on the previous-generation 2.2 TDCi Transit / Transit Custom and 2.2 / 3.2 TDCi Ranger: Stage 1–2, DPF, EGR, lambda, TVA and speed limit; Stage 1 combined with DPF / EGR in one file. See the SID208 page.
Bosch EDC17C70
Found on newer Ford diesels: Stage 1–2, AdBlue / SCR, DPF, EGR, torque monitor and speed limit. See the EDC17C70 page.
The ECU type depends on model year and engine. The exact type is confirmed from the ECU label or by reading it with a diagnostic tool; send a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we will tell you which file applies.
See Ford Transit, Transit Custom, Ranger and Ford DPF fault solution.
How it works
- Reading: upload the original file read with your tool, or visit one of our locations.
- Calibration: the file is prepared for the exact engine and ECU software version, checksum corrected; the original is archived.
- Application and check: fault scan and run / road test after writing.
Workshops get the same solutions through the ECU Prime file service.
Emission-related software is offered only for uses permitted by applicable law (off-road / closed-site use, racing, export, diagnostics); road use and inspection compliance are the owner’s responsibility.
