What is DSG Optimisation?
DSG optimisation tunes the gearbox software (TCU): shift speed, clutch pressure and torque limits, matched to work with the engine (Stage) software.
When is it needed?

Frequently asked questions
Will it harm the gearbox?
Clutch pressure and torque limits are set inside the hardware limits. If the clutch packs are worn we tell you before starting; optimising a worn gearbox makes the problem worse.
Should it be done with the engine software?
It gives the best result alongside Stage 1, because the torque increase is matched to the gearbox limits.
Does comfort suffer?
It is set to your preference. We can build a soft profile for daily use or a sharp one for sporty driving.
