Forklift ECU Software and Tuning
On diesel forklifts the engine control unit (ECU) software is recalibrated on the machine's own original file. The original software is backed up; compatibility is confirmed by engine and ECU type.
On diesel forklifts the engine control unit (ECU) depends on the engine maker far more than on the truck brand. The same engine and ECU are fitted to different forklift brands; Xinchai engines, for example, power machines from many manufacturers. That is why we determine compatibility from the engine and ECU type, not from the brand on the truck.
Forklifts work indoors, over short distances and with frequent stops. In these conditions the particulate filter (DPF) cannot clean itself and blocks, and the EGR circuit soots up. Once the truck is in limp mode, loading in the warehouse stops. The cause is diagnosed first; the software solution is applied according to the ECU type.
The original software is read and backed up before the job. The calibration is done on the machine's own file and the factory setting can be restored on request.
