Mini Excavator Tuning and ECU Software
On mini excavators the engine control unit (ECU) software is recalibrated on the machine's own original file. The original software is backed up; compatibility is confirmed by ECU type.
A power remap on the Mini Excavator recalibrates the fuel quantity, injection timing and torque limiter maps. On compact machines the engine runs the hydraulic pump close to its limit; with more torque in reserve, rpm drops less when digging and travelling together.
Mini excavators work in short cycles with frequent stops and long idling; in these conditions the particulate filter (DPF) cannot clean itself and blocks. With an EGR fault or emission sensor errors the machine enters limp mode. The cause is diagnosed first; the software solution is applied according to the ECU type.
