Mazda CX-5, 6 and 3 Skyactiv-D DPF Solution and Chip Tuning: Denso ECU

Mazda’s Skyactiv-D diesels (2.2 and 1.5) are known for their low compression ratio, but on cars used for short trips the DPF regeneration does not finish and the oil level rises. These engines use a Denso ECU, and Stage 1, DPF and EGR solutions are available at ECU Prime for the Skyactiv-D.
Which ECU does your Mazda use?
- Denso engine ECU: 2.2 / 1.5 Skyactiv-D. Stage 1, DPF, EGR and speed limit (Vmax).
- Continental SID807 and Bosch EDC16C34: older Mazda 3 / 5 1.6 diesel. DPF solution and DTC editing.
Why does the Skyactiv-D DPF clog?
- Regeneration cut short on short trips
- Regeneration fuel diluting the oil and raising the level
- More soot from a sooted EGR

The ECU type depends on model year and engine. The exact type is confirmed from the ECU label or by reading it with a diagnostic tool; send a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we will tell you which file applies.
Service pages: Mazda AdBlue fault solution, DPF fault solution, EGR fault solution.
How it works
- Reading: upload the original file read with your tool, or visit one of our locations.
- Calibration: the file is prepared for the exact engine and ECU software version, checksum corrected; the original is archived.
- Application and check: fault scan and run / road test after writing.
Workshops get the same solutions through the ECU Prime file service.
Emission-related software is offered only for uses permitted by applicable law (off-road / closed-site use, racing, export, diagnostics); road use and inspection compliance are the owner’s responsibility.
