Locked Bosch MD1CE101 on New Holland, Case IH and Iveco: Software Solutions for 2021+ FPT Engines

Locked Bosch MD1CE101 on New Holland, Case IH and Iveco: Software Solutions for 2021+ FPT Engines

The Bosch MD1CE101 engine ECU fitted to FPT-powered tractors, combines and trucks built from 2021 leaves the factory locked. On many machines the software could not be read, so neither a power remap nor an AdBlue fault solution was possible. On 5 October 2026 Alientech announced an unlock protocol for these units on KESS3.

What was announced?

  • The ECU is opened once and unlocked in BOOT mode; the tool's unlock module is required.
  • After unlocking, the same unit can be read and written through the diagnostic socket (OBD) or on the bench without being opened again.
  • Coverage: FPT-powered machines produced from 2021 onwards.

Which machines are affected?

The manufacturer's list includes these series:

  • New Holland: T6, T7, T8, T9 series; CR and CX combines
  • Case IH: Maxxum, Puma, Optum, Magnum, Steiger; Axial-Flow combines
  • Steyr: CVT, Terrus CVT
  • Iveco: Eurocargo, S-Way, Trakker
  • Others: Claas Axion, McCormick X6/X7/X8, Landini 6 Series, Arbos 7000, Merlo and Dieci telehandlers, Temsa buses

What is ready on our side?

Our library holds verified solutions for Bosch MD1CE101 on these makes:

  • New Holland and Iveco: Stage 1 power software, AdBlue, DPF and EGR fault solutions
  • Case IH: Stage 1 power software
  • Arbos: Stage 1 and AdBlue fault solution

For the other makes on the list (Steyr, Claas Axion, McCormick, Landini, Merlo, Dieci, Temsa) we do not yet have a ready entry for this unit. We make no promise before seeing the file: send us a photo of the ECU label and we will confirm compatibility on the file itself.

John Deere 6M and 6R: Phoenix L33M

The same week, on 2 October 2026, an OBD read and write protocol was announced for the Phoenix L33M unit on KESS3. Coverage: John Deere 6M and 6R series and Claas Arion from 2025, with the PowerTech 6.8 litre engine. Our library lists Stage 1 and AdBlue fault solutions for the Phoenix L33 family on John Deere; for the new L33M version we confirm compatibility on the machine's own file.

How does the job work?

The original software is read and backed up first. The solution is built on that file, written, and checked with the machine running. Because the original backup is kept, the machine can be returned to factory software at any time. For tractors and construction machinery we offer on-site service across Türkiye.
