Fendt Vario ECU Solutions: AdBlue, DPF, EGR and Stage 1 on Bosch EDC17CV52

With their continuously variable transmission and high power classes, Fendt Vario tractors are the choice of large farms. Their engines are mostly managed by the Bosch EDC17CV family. The key Fendt family is the Bosch EDC17CV52, with solutions available at ECU Prime from Stage 1 to AdBlue, DPF and EGR.
Which ECU does your Fendt use?
- Bosch EDC17CV52: Stage 1, AdBlue / SCR, DPF, EGR, emission package and combined Stage 1 + emission files.
- Bosch EDC17CV56: Stage 1.
- Bosch EDC17CV41: AdBlue / SCR and emission package.
- Bosch EDC16: Stage 1 and Stage 2 on earlier Vario models.
Same ECU family across AGCO
The EDC17CV family also appears on Massey Ferguson and Valtra tractors from the same group.
The ECU type depends on model year and engine. The exact type is confirmed from the ECU label or by reading it with a diagnostic tool; send a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we will tell you which file applies.
Common faults
- AdBlue / SCR warning and derate
- DPF loading and endless regeneration
- Sooted EGR valve and warning lamp
- Torque drop under heavy load
See our Fendt page and Fendt AdBlue fault solution.
How it works
- Reading: upload the original file read with your tool, or visit one of our locations.
- Calibration: the file is prepared for the exact engine and ECU software version, checksum corrected; the original is archived.
- Application and check: fault scan and run / road test after writing.
Workshops get the same solutions through the ECU Prime file service.
Emission-related software is offered only for uses permitted by applicable law (off-road / closed-site use, racing, export, diagnostics); road use and inspection compliance are the owner’s responsibility.
