How a EDC16 remap is done
- The EDC16 is read by OBD, bench or boot depending on the variant, and the original software is backed up.
- The original file is modified for the vehicle, engine and requested solution; the checksum is corrected.
- The file is written, fault codes are checked and the vehicle is road tested.
- The original backup is kept, so the vehicle can be returned to factory software at any time.
