Mercedes Actros and Axor ECU Solutions: AdBlue, DPF, EGR on HDEP MCM and ACM

Mercedes-Benz Actros, Axor and Atego are among the most common trucks on the road. They use two controllers: the MCM for the engine and the ACM for after-treatment (AdBlue, DPF). Solutions for Mercedes trucks are available at ECU Prime on both.
Which ECU does your Mercedes use?
- Continental HDEP MCM: Stage 1, AdBlue / SCR, DPF, EGR and emission package.
- Continental VDO ACM and ACM2.1 / 2.2: AdBlue, DPF, EGR and emission package on the after-treatment ECU.
- MCM2.1 D1/D2 and D3/D4: Stage 1 and emission package.
- Temic ZGS gearbox controller: gearbox Stage 1 software.
The ECU type depends on model year and engine. The exact type is confirmed from the ECU label or by reading it with a diagnostic tool; send a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we will tell you which file applies.
Common faults
- AdBlue / SCR warning, NOx sensor failure and derate
- DPF loading and endless regeneration in city and short runs
- Sooted EGR valve and cooler
- Weak pulling on loaded climbs and high fuel use
