Bosch EDC17C81 Machinery Solutions: DPF, EGR and Emission Software for Xinchai Forklifts, Atlas and Liugong
Chinese-built diesel engines are increasingly common in forklifts, compact loaders and construction machinery. Many of them are managed by the Bosch EDC17C81. Forklifts working indoors at low revs fill the DPF quickly and keep asking for regeneration; once the EGR valve is sooted, derate and warning lamps follow.
Solutions for the Bosch EDC17C81 are available at ECU Prime, so the machine can be back at work after a planned software job, without replacing parts.
Xinchai-powered forklifts and machinery: DPF + EGR
For Xinchai-powered machines a DPF and EGR solution is available. The typical picture: the machine derates under load, regeneration never completes and the EGR fault code comes back even after it is cleared. Until the root cause is solved in software, the fault never stays away.
- The original file is read and archived.
- DPF and EGR related derate is removed in software.
- Related fault codes are handled with the solution; the machine is run and checked afterwards.
Atlas, Liugong and Erkunt
The same ECU family appears on other machines too. Stage 1 and an emission package are available for Atlas machinery, an emission package for Liugong and Stage 1 for Erkunt tractors. Which service applies depends on the ECU software version, so the first step is always reading the ECU.
How it works
- File or on-site reading: upload the original file read with your tool, or ask for on-site reading in Turkey.
- Calibration: the file is prepared for the exact engine and ECU version, checksum corrected.
- Application and check: fault scan and run check after writing; the original file is kept.
