Audi and Porsche 3.0 TDI Chip Tuning and AdBlue: Bosch MD1CP004 and MD1CP014

Audi’s 3.0 TDI V6 diesel powers a wide family from the A6, A7, Q5, Q7 and Q8 to the VW Touareg and Porsche. On newer models the ECU is the locked Bosch MD1CP004 or MD1CP014. Solutions for both are available at ECU Prime.
Which ECU, which operation?
- MD1CP004: Stage 1, Stage 2, AdBlue / SCR, DPF, EGR, emission package, speed limit and combined files (Audi, VW).
- MD1CP014: Stage 1, AdBlue / SCR, EGR, emission package and speed limit (Audi, Porsche, VW).
Which cars?
Audi A4, A5, A6, A7, Q5, Q7, Q8, VW Touareg and Porsche diesels. Confirm from the label.
How is it read and written?
The MD1 family ships locked; reading needs the ECU to be unlocked with the right method. For Audi and VW 3.0 TDI ECUs, Autotuner added bench support after unlock in July 2026, and Magicmotorsport Flex 8.27 (October 2026) unlocks 3.0 TDI ECUs by boot glitch. Workshops can upload files read with these tools to the ECU Prime file service.
The ECU type depends on model year and engine. The exact type is confirmed from the ECU label or by reading it with a diagnostic tool; send a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we will tell you which file applies.
Common faults
- AdBlue warning and “engine will not start in X km” countdown
- NOx sensor and AdBlue pump / heater failure
- DPF loading and endless regeneration on short trips
- Sooted EGR valve and loss of pulling power
How it works
- Reading: upload the original file read with your tool, or visit one of our locations.
- Calibration: the file is prepared for the exact engine and ECU software version, checksum corrected; the original is archived.
- Application and check: fault scan and run / road test after writing.
Workshops get the same solutions through the ECU Prime file service.
Emission-related software is offered only for uses permitted by applicable law (off-road / closed-site use, racing, export, diagnostics); road use and inspection compliance are the owner’s responsibility.
