Otokar, Karsan and Temsa Bus ECU Solution: DPF and EGR on the Bosch EDC17C49
Otokar, Karsan and Temsa carry much of Turkey’s public transport, from city buses to shuttle midibuses. Stop-start city work fills the DPF and soots the EGR. Solutions for all three brands are available at ECU Prime on Bosch ECUs.
Which brand, which ECU?
- Karsan, Bosch EDC17C49: Stage 1, DPF, Stage 1 + DPF, Stage 1 + emissions and speed limit.
- Karsan, Bosch EDC16C39: EGR and DTC.
- Temsa, EDC17C49, EDC17CP15 and EDC17CP52: emission package, Stage 1 + DPF and Stage 1 + emissions.
- Otokar, EDC17C49 and EDC16C39: Stage 1, DTC and DPF.
The ECU type depends on model year and engine. The exact type is confirmed from the ECU label or by reading it with a diagnostic tool; send a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we will tell you which file applies.
Common faults
- AdBlue / SCR warning, NOx sensor failure and derate
- DPF loading and endless regeneration in city and short runs
- Sooted EGR valve and cooler
