Mercedes OM654 and OM656 Chip Tuning and AdBlue Solution: Bosch MD1CP001

Mercedes’ new diesels, the OM654 (4-cylinder, 220d / 300d) and OM656 (6-cylinder, 350d / 400d), use the locked Bosch MD1CP001. One of the widest solution ranges at ECU Prime is available for it.
What is available on the MD1CP001?
- Stage 1, 2 and 3: power and torque software; speed limit adjustment.
- AdBlue / SCR, DPF, EGR: emission package and individual solutions; combined with Stage 1.
- Start-stop, AGS, flaps, lambda, TVA: comfort and emission settings.
Which cars?
Mercedes C-Class, E-Class, GLC, GLE, CLS, Vito, V-Class diesels. Confirm from the label.
How is it read and written?
The MD1 family ships locked; reading needs the ECU to be unlocked with the right method. Magicmotorsport Flex 8.17 (September 2026) unlocks the MD1CP001 by boot glitch; on Autotuner this ECU is handled with a bench connection. Workshops can upload files read with these tools to the ECU Prime file service.
The ECU type depends on model year and engine. The exact type is confirmed from the ECU label or by reading it with a diagnostic tool; send a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we will tell you which file applies.
Common faults
- AdBlue warning and “engine will not start in X km” countdown
- NOx sensor and AdBlue pump / heater failure
- DPF loading and endless regeneration on short trips
- Sooted EGR valve and loss of pulling power

How it works
- Reading: upload the original file read with your tool, or visit one of our locations.
- Calibration: the file is prepared for the exact engine and ECU software version, checksum corrected; the original is archived.
- Application and check: fault scan and run / road test after writing.
Workshops get the same solutions through the ECU Prime file service.
