Isuzu NPR and NQR Truck ECU Solutions: Bosch EDC17CV41 and Transtron

The Isuzu NPR and NQR are among the most common trucks in city distribution and municipal fleets. Isuzu engine ECUs are either the Bosch EDC17CV41 or Japan’s Transtron, depending on generation. Solutions for Isuzu are available at ECU Prime on both.
Which ECU does your Isuzu use?
- Bosch EDC17CV41: Stage 1, AdBlue / SCR, DPF, EGR, emission package and combined files.
- Transtron 4HK1: Stage 1, DPF and emission package.
- Transtron 4JXX, SH72544R, 6HK1 / 6UK1 and M5.2 / M5.3: Stage 1; emissions and speed limit on some.
- Denso SH7059: Stage 1.
The ECU type depends on model year and engine. The exact type is confirmed from the ECU label or by reading it with a diagnostic tool; send a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we will tell you which file applies.
Common faults
- AdBlue / SCR warning, NOx sensor failure and derate
- DPF loading and endless regeneration in city and short runs
