L3 chip tuning and remap solutions

The Phoenix L3 is an engine control unit used in tractors and marine engines from makes such as John Deere and John Deere Marine. Prime Chiptuning always builds L3 files from the original read of the vehicle; generic files are not used.

Solutions offered for this ECU family include Stage 1 Remap. Which ones apply to your vehicle depends on the exact ECU variant, software version and engine; we check this from the read file before the work starts.

How a L3 remap is done

1. The L3 is read by OBD, bench or boot depending on the variant, and the original software is backed up.
2. The original file is modified for the vehicle, engine and requested solution; the checksum is corrected.
3. The file is written, fault codes are checked and the vehicle is road tested.
4. The original backup is kept, so the vehicle can be returned to factory software at any time.
