A power remap on the Volvo A30 recalibrates the fuel quantity, injection timing, boost pressure and torque limiter maps. On an articulated dump truck productivity is set by ramp speed with a full body; with more torque in reserve, fewer downshifts are needed on loaded climbs.

Articulated dump trucks work on quarry and site roads in dust; with a blocked particulate filter (DPF), an EGR fault or a NOx sensor fault in the AdBlue (SCR) system the truck enters limp mode and the haul cycle is disrupted.
