Volvo BL71 Backhoe Loader Tuning and Power Upgrade
The Volvo BL71 is Volvo's backhoe loader. The engine control unit (ECU) software is recalibrated on the machine's own original file; the original software is backed up.
Volvo BL71 power remap
A power remap on the Volvo BL71 recalibrates the fuel quantity, injection timing, boost pressure and torque limiter maps. On a backhoe loader one engine feeds the front bucket, the rear excavator and the drivetrain; with more torque in reserve, rpm drops less when digging and roading.
Volvo BL71 AdBlue fault solution
Backhoe loaders often sit idling between short jobs during the day; in these conditions the particulate filter (DPF) cannot clean itself and blocks. The EGR valve collects soot; with a NOx sensor or pump fault in the AdBlue (SCR) system the machine enters limp mode. The cause is diagnosed first; the software solution is applied according to the ECU type.
ECU and compatibility for the Volvo BL71
Services with a verified solution for Volvo in our library: Stage 1 Remap and AdBlue / SCR Delete. The control units we work on in Volvo machines include DENSO 112500-1XXX, DENSO 275700-1201/3410/3411/3412, CONTINENTAL VDO ACM and CONTINENTAL SIEMENS-VDO ATK-EM-EU6. The same model can carry a different ECU depending on build year and engine option, so we confirm compatibility for the Volvo BL71 from a photo of the ECU label or from the file read out.
