Caterpillar 432 Backhoe Loader Tuning and Power Upgrade
The Caterpillar 432 is Caterpillar's backhoe loader. The engine control unit (ECU) software is recalibrated on the machine's own original file; the original software is backed up.
Caterpillar 432 power remap
A power remap on the Caterpillar 432 recalibrates the fuel quantity, injection timing, boost pressure and torque limiter maps. On a backhoe loader one engine feeds the front bucket, the rear excavator and the drivetrain; with more torque in reserve, rpm drops less when digging and roading.
Caterpillar 432 AdBlue fault solution
Backhoe loaders often sit idling between short jobs during the day; in these conditions the particulate filter (DPF) cannot clean itself and blocks. The EGR valve collects soot; with a NOx sensor or pump fault in the AdBlue (SCR) system the machine enters limp mode. The cause is diagnosed first; the software solution is applied according to the ECU type.
ECU and compatibility for the Caterpillar 432
Services with a verified solution for Caterpillar in our library: Stage 1 Remap and AdBlue / SCR Delete. The control units we work on in Caterpillar machines include CATERPILLAR A5E2V2I1, BOSCH EDC17C49, DENSO DCU and BOSCH EDC17CV54. The same model can carry a different ECU depending on build year and engine option, so we confirm compatibility for the Caterpillar 432 from a photo of the ECU label or from the file read out.
Where is the difference noticed on the Caterpillar 432?
- Working in hard ground with the rear excavator
- Loading and grading with the front bucket
- Roading between sites and on hills
- Working with hydraulic attachments such as breakers
