Volvo DPF Fault Solution
When the DPF (diesel particulate filter) clogs on Volvo (2002+) diesel engines, the car regenerates frequently, power is limited and a warning lamp comes on. Differential pressure and fault memory are checked first, the ECU is identified and a matching software solution is applied after an original backup.

Can a clogged DPF on the Volvo be solved with software?
The filter and sensors are checked first; any mechanical fault is reported. Where suitable for the Volvo, the DPF software solution is applied to the ECU with the original software backed up and verified by a road test.
Will the car pass inspection after a DPF delete?
Work on emission hardware can affect inspection and road compliance. This work is offered only for uses permitted by law, such as off-road, motorsport, export or fault diagnosis. Inspection and road compliance remain the owner's responsibility.
Does the filter have to be physically removed?
We handle the software side; physical work on the filter is done in the workshop depending on the car and your choice. If only software is changed and the filter stays in place, it will keep loading up.
Should I try cleaning first?
In most cases yes. If the filter is not yet blocked, a forced regeneration or chemical clean is the better step; we measure the condition and tell you the cheapest route.
Will fuel consumption drop?
On a car that regenerates frequently it usually does, because the extra fuel burned during regeneration cycles disappears.
